This IPA is great. It’s another superb offering from a brewery here in Michigan that’s not as well known to most people. It’s located in Portage, MI, just South of Kalamazoo. They just did a redesign on the cans, which I captured poorly in the picture, to really make these things pop.
They use 5 different hops to add a nice hop, with a lengthy, bitter finish. I personally get some grassy/floral notes to the hops, maybe with a little pine. Not much in the citrus category for me (I just just drink a beer with a nice citrus note to it, so maybe it’s hiding). I think the body on this, while nice and bitter, is fairly light compared to other IPAs. It’s 6.8% ABV, which is probably higher than what the average beer drinker probably partakes in. However, I think it does go down quite smoothly.
